Filtering is a feature that narrows the current content collection using existing properties or conditions.A task list can keep only items matching owner, status, and due date; a product list can narrow by price or size. Filtering excludes items that do not meet explicit conditions. It does not interpret a free-form sentence and is not the same as sorting results.

What filtering works from

Conditions come from existing fields: Incomplete, this week, and assigned to me map to task status, date, and owner fields. When several conditions combine, the interface should show what currently limits the list.

Results should be recoverable: Clearing one condition or resetting all filters should return people to the full collection. An empty state should say conditions caused it, not imply the data vanished.
