Verify the real browser result: After publishing, confirm that the linked asset is reachable and inspect it in tabs, bookmarks, and history; an old cache may keep the previous asset visible for a while.
Replace the site's Favicon while leaving the header Logo and toolbar action icons unchanged. Check the asset referenced by rel=icon, then verify the browser tab, bookmark, and history after deployment. If the old icon remains, report the caching evidence and the next verification step.
